Graphics Design Demonstrative Evidence Assistant

The Prince George’s County State’s Attorney has an immediate opening for a full-time Graphics Demonstrative Evidence Assistant. If you are interested in law enforcement and our judicial system and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly rewarding environment, we are looking for you.  The Graphics Demonstrative Evidence Assistant will join the efforts of attorneys, investigators and other support staff charged with safeguarding the community through the prosecution of criminal matters. 

 

This is a one-year grant funded position.  Continuation beyond the one-year term is contingent on future funding.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:   

The Graphics Demonstrative Evidence Assistant will work with the assistant and chief specialist to perform a full range of graphic art activities from initial inception of a project to final completion and delivery.  Typical duties include: Assists with planning, designing, constructing, and the production of courtroom photo exhibits, diagrams, maps, and presentations for use by Assistant State’s Attorneys; Duplication of discovery on CDs/DVDs/USBs/External HD/SSD devices; Preparation of audio and video clippings (redaction) and some compilations for court exhibit; Managing the production of daily assigned work schedules to meet timely deadlines; Managing equipment projectors and connections with support for motions, trials, and trainings; Providing technical assistance with audio/video files: i.e. interviews, surveillance, and other evidence; Printing, cutting, and mounting of medium to large demonstrative boards for court exhibit; Providing evidence file handling and support via cloud servers and digital media; Assisting with digital data asset management, file storage and retrieval on local networks; Providing technical assistance with audio/visuals and presentations via RGB, HDMI, Zoom, MS Teams.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR CANDIDATES:  Must have graduated from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in art/graphic design or illustration; or any equivalent combination of relevant training, education, and experience; strong computer skills highly desirable, including some proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) and MS Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must pass a background investigation and drug screen.

 

ELIGIBILITY TO WORK:  Under the Immigration reform and Control Act of 1986, an employer is required to hire only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers.  Selected candidate for employment will be required to show and verify authorization to work in the United States.
